Where the heck did the week go?!!
Yes yes. I see that it's Friday again and that the last time I blogged was... er... Friday. About another blog. I also realize that I have nothing to blog about again in this here blog today.
Other than maybe to ask, where did the week go?!!
Well... at least you can hop on over and read my Friday Post over at The Novel Girls. I'm rather fond of this one because I decided to talk about one of my favorite subjects - writing (and reading) great fight scenes!
Yay, fisticuffery!
Go check it out!

First Online Review!!
Always an entertaining, informative blog, The Complusive Reader has posted the first online review of WONDROUS STRANGE!!
Among other lovely things TCR has to say, I'm particularly fond of this:
"Wondrous Strange is a stirring and adventurous book with wry humor, colorful and expressive characters, and an unbelievably addictive quality"
Yay! Go check it out!!

VIVA ITALIA!!
My brilliant agent just gave me the go-ahead to announce that we have sold rights to WONDROUS STRANGE to the wonderful people at the Italian publisher Fazi!!!
I'm THRILLED!
They're the same outfit that handles Stephenie Meyer and Melissa Marr so I figure they know what they're doing in the world of YA fantasy!
In honour of this auspicious occasion, I present to you a favorite movie moment of mine. From Star Trek IV - The Voyage Home.
"I love Italian. And so do you."
"Yes."

TNG - Girl Friday!
By 'TNG' I do NOT mean Star Trek - The Next Generation.
Although I do think it's an amusing coincidence.
No no - I mean THE NOVEL GIRLS wherein I'm abloggin' today (and every friday for the foreseeable future!)
This is our introductory week and it would be bloody marvelous if those of you who felt inclined to meet a few fun and lovely writer girls wandered over to say 'hi!'
Come on by and grok the grog!
Also, you know, just as a side note (pertaining to the post directly below this one)... after my Fan Expo experience, John went and bought me the season 3 dvds of Happy Days. He SO rocks. We watched both part of "Fearless Fonzarelli" last night and I laughed my butt off!

Fonzie 'n' me...
Okay okay. True confessions time.
When I was about eight years old, I had a HUGE crush on The Fonz. HUGE.
It's even bigger now.
Recently at FanEXPO here in Toronto, I had the honour - nay - the great pleasure of interviewing Henry Winkler for the super-cool geek-tastic web-mag HardcoreNerdity about the many facets of his career ranging from actor to producer to novelist to cultural freakin' icon. It was all of the awesome. He's a real gentleman and - dare I say it? - still pretty damn cute! Which is why, I'm guessing, I giggled like a schoolgirl when he kissed my hand and signed his name and "You are my kind of girl" on the back of my pink girlie shirt with all the little tiny 'Fonzie's on it.

The Novel Girls!!
Hey kids!
Come join me and five other fabulous new authors over at brand-spankin' new group blog
THE NOVEL GIRLS
where I will be grogging *hee* along with the lovely Tracy Madison, Maureen Lipinski, Lisa Patton, Jillian Cantor and Carolyn McTighe all about the crazy goodness (heavy emphasis on both of those) that is the life of a debut novelist.
Here we are:

And, from those of us that have our cover art already - check out these beauties!

We launch this week with introductions from all and it should prove to be a really fun, informative place to hang out. These ladies are awesome and I'm thrilled to be part of the gang!
I'd love it if you dropped by to check it out!
